Travelling through Canada

When I have a hard time fitting half of my expedition supplies into one car, I wonder how I will manage to drag twice this for 60 days. A week in NY gave me the opportunity to scour the shops for the newest gear and best food. Like a magpie I gathered shiny and clever gadgets, tiny tools and super strong adhesives. I left not a moment too soon or I would have had to drag a tanker to the pole!
Besides expanding my bags and waist line preparations in NY were a success. I even got to play at the range with a retired NYC police man who helped me hone my sharpshooping skills. I imagined a large Polar bear advancing instead of this gun touting thug and now go with renewed confidence but hopeful not to have such encounters… although a gun touting thug may even be welcome sight after so long on my own.
As I board my last commercial flight to the most northern outpost of Canada, Resolute Bay where the temperature is now a balmy -38C, we are warned that landing is subject to meteorological conditions!

Fantozzi recommends double tapping any polar bear that gets too close!

Waiting to hear whether or not you were able to land in Resolute Bay. Had a wonderful time with you in beautiful Bridgeport and miss you already.
Guess I’m going to have to learn centigrade conversions! Love you, Roberta
